I was responsible for design and integration of all audio/video and
control systems for government contracts to include ATC CCN
Aberdeen Maryland, CCN White Sands Missile Range, NM and FCS
Mobile Node trailer.  Specific duties include: site survey, proposal
preparation, initial design concept, design review lead, facility AV
consultant, final design review and sign off, installation procedure,
(BOM) bill of materials, AV SME for procurement, installation drawing
preparation, as built drawings, (VISIO or Auto Cad), training
documentation in PowerPoint and Visual Basic (auto executable),
manufacture specifications and documentation preparation for CSO
security information to obtain ATO, AMX and Crestron control system
design, integration and programming using RS232, IR, I/O and
analogue signal input to the controller, graphics design for control
system touch panels, integration and installation lead, Layers 1-3
network integration, general knowledge on layers 4-7. I installed and
conducted experiments with a Fastec InLine high speed video
camera for Schafer Corporation

Design Engineer
I designed classified VTC rooms for (MDA facilities) Ft. Greeley,
Huntsville and Vandenberg AFB. This included design drawings,
BOM preparation, project manager and installation of all equipment,
including AMX control system programming. I served as the only AV
SME for the GMD program under the Synergy contract and
maintained Bradford, Redstone Arsenal and Boeing AV test rooms.
I served on VTC advisory board for MDA enterprise VTC solution.  
Became familiar with the bridge/gateway software and served as a
Beta tester for Tandberg manager software.

I provided visual information production services and equipment
maintenance for a contract, located in the Sparkman Auditorium,
Redstone Arsenal.  Design, documentation and construction of a
portable production rack now located in the Sparkman Auditorium.
WGSA TV, Savannah Ga. Installed two low power UHF television
transmitters and performed general consulting work.
WTWC TV, Tallahassee Fl.
I installed two 7-meter satellite dishes.

I designed, integrated and documented a 3-camera SDI digital
production facility and broadcast television station for the University
Department of Mass Communication.
Shook Electronics, San Antonio TX
I worked on installation of digital video equipment in a production
facility at Fort Sam Houston TX.  I worked on wiring and equipment
installation for a video truck for a Philippines Television Network. This
system as all SDI signals.
Victory Television Network, Little Rock, AR.
General Chief engineer consulting work for three high power
transmitters in different locations.  Provided redesign drawings for
their master control.

WZDX TV

Chief Engineer

I was responsible for managing all technical operations for this FOX
affiliate UHF television station. I had seven people under my direct
supervision. In 1995, I moved the station from a 5000-square foot
building to a 15,000 square foot building. I was responsible for
preparing the building and implementing the move. This was all done
without losing any airtime and under budget. For this
accomplishment, the owner of the company gave me an additional
performance bonus.

I was responsible for the design of new master control and production
areas, production of all technical drawings for the new plant, and
installation of a new Pesa stereo video/audio router.  I designed and
built hardware, then wrote the software for automation of video
recording satellite feeds.  I wrote a database program to record
discrepancies during the broadcast day.  I designed and built other
timing, OP amp and filter circuits for the transmitter and studio plants.  
I worked with CMOS and TTL logic gates for digital circuits.  I have
used Microsoft Access, Word, PowerPoint, Visual Basic, Turbo Cad,
Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Page Mill regularly in the course of
my work.  I was responsible for updating and creation of additional
pages for the FOX 54 web site.

I was responsible for all engineering duties for Motor Week
Productions.  I maintained all videotape machines and cameras,
BetaCam, 3/4 inch and one inch machines.  I designed and built
customized electronic equipment, such as a video and control
switcher for a small remote truck.  I maintained two way radios and
the production computer.  I shot pit side interviews for the show,
"Motor Week Illustrated". I served as Crew Chief for field production
utility personnel for live NASCAR races produced by World Sports
Enterprises for the TBS and CBS networks.  I Created drawings and
for the city of Miami for installation of camera placements to cover the
1986 Miami Grand Prix auto race. This layout was used by the city
until 1994.

Assistant Chief Engineer

I worked with a Harris UHF television transmitter. I performed
maintenance for the studio, cameras and terminal equipment;
maintained the one-inch and 3/4 inch tape machines.  I was
responsible for audio for Georgia Tech post game show.

Maintenance Engineer

I was responsible for maintenance of the ENG cameras, recorders
and remote van. I worked with a Townsend UHF transmitter.

1970-1980
·        Freelance cameraman and gaffer for motion picture and video
production studios.  Gained proficiency with 16mm film production
and set lighting.
·        At the top of my production career, performed as 1st. Camera
and main cinematographer on two full-length feature films, and as first
camera on a major documentary for the U.S. Army in California.
Served as an assistant cameraman for H.G. Peters and Co., doing
Army training films for the U.S. Government.  At Alabama A&M
University served as a producer. Produced, wrote and shot three one
hour documentary films for the university accounting office and library.
Taught film production seminars while there.
