Artist
My style is best described as American Regionalism.
The works of Thomas Hart Benton, John Stuart Curry
and Grant Wood influences my work. I have several
pieces of old cabins and farm scenes. The Green
Mountain Cabin is one that shows this style. Others
are, Pensacola Parlor, Old Tractor, Maine Lighthouse,
Waterfall Splendor and Tishomingo Cabin. I also enjoy
working on subjects in Mari Gras and Vienna festival
masks. I have also produced several paintings
depicting the deep space images retuned from the
Hubble telescope, (Hubble Inspiration).
Won the peoples Choice Award at the Colors of the
Season art show, Carnegie Museum in Decatur, in
December 04. Two pieces selected for inclusion in
the Unique Views Art Show, July 2005; Red Bridge
and The Lost Cause
Currently working a series of painting on birds.

"There is no such thing as a bad artist...only bad interpretations!"
Dennis Packard
I think any expression of art can give a person the sense of
validation and pride. It's a great feeling to begin with an idea
and that idea turns into something that makes others smile. I
thoroughly enjoy painting, it's the most satisfying thing I have
ever done.
